Adopt a Cat: Sweet Sally

Sally has had a sad journey, now she needs a new home.

Sally is back at the Greenbelt Animal Shelter, after getting her hopes up that she had a new home. Kim DeAngelis, manager of the Greenbelt Animal Shelter, shared that Sally had a very loving home with a Green Ridge House resident, until he got sick. Her best friend is in the hospital now, and Sally won’t be able to live with him again. So please reach out to Sally. Her Green Ridge friend would feel much better knowing that his little girl is taken care of. Sally is a three-year old domestic shorthair. DeAngelis reported that she’s been spayed; has had her shots, including rabies and distemper; and in addition — all the animals at the shelter have been flea treated and de-wormed. Week in Review: Police Raid 2 Suspected Prostitution Houses, Roberts Dissents to 2012 Budget and Youth Have a Triathlon

Looking at our week in Greenbelt, June 5 - 11.

The Greenbelt police raid 2 suspected prostitution houses.  Council Adopts Fiscal 2012 Budget, Roberts Dissents, unwilling to approve increases in both apartment and commercial office inspection and licensing fees. Watch footage of Greenbelter Joey Murray's Kalahari Desert trip, where he tracks with the Bushmen. The city holds a big Greenbelt weekend with a youth triathlon, a naturalization ceremony, art, a quilt exhibit, music and history. No one figured out last week's Get The Picture, I think it's our first-ever stump, at least it is on my watch. So this week, I updated it with a second photo that has a big clue.
