Weekend Road Closures Slated For MD 193 in Greenbelt
It will pay for motorists to budget extra commute time and plan ahead, says highway official.
The Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) will close lanes along eastbound MD 193 between 58th and 60th avenues in Greenbelt for concrete bus pad construction beginning 8 p.m. Friday, according to a highway administration news release. The two far right lanes will be closed for much of the weekend and will re-open no later than Sunday at noon, according Christopher Bishop, SHA community liaison for District 3. The highway administration asks drivers to stay alert—look for reduced speed limits and narrow driving lanes, and to watch out for highway workers.
