Greenbelt Police have arrested three people in the Her Imports armed robbery.
The Greenbelt Police Department has made three arrests in the Dec. 6 armed robbery of Her Imports in the 7900 block of Belle Point Drive. The following suspects were arrested in DC Friday morning, police said: All three suspects are charged with armed robbery, 1st degree assault, 2nd degree assault and theft over $10,000, police said. A search warrant in Suitland allowed for police to recover some of the stolen property.
Third theft of hair extensions in past six months has business owners, clients angry, NBC4 reports.
Greenbelt Police are investigating a hair raising crime which saw one local business lose $23,000 worth of hair weaves last week, according to NBC4. As a result, the owners of Her Imports in the 7900 block of Belle Point Drive in Greenbelt have had to post signs alerting customers that they are out of hair. According to NBC4, this is the fourth time the business has been robbed of weaves in the last six months. This, despite the fact that they installed a surveillance system in their store. Their cameras caught images of two people the owners believe to be behind the thefts. Police tell NBC4 that they are continuing to investigate leads.
