Greenbelt Police Report: Shots Fired in Home Robbery, 2 Drug Arrests, 4 Burglaries, 3 DWIs

The following crime information, from Aug. 8 to Aug. 16, was supplied by the Greenbelt Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

  Gushots are fired and police arrest a suspect in a home invasion robbery, two drug arrests, four burglaries, three DWIs, two stolen vehicles, and three auto thefts, in the Greenbelt Police report for Aug. 8 - Aug. 16. Center City Aug. 10 at 2:22 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Greenbelt Road at Capitol Drive. Hector Aragon Hernandez, 20, of Greenbelt, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial. At 5:40 p.m.: Drug Arrest. Crescent Road at Lastner Lane. Douglass Shaun Holt, 35, of Greenbelt, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of marijuana, …

Gunshots Fired During Greenbelt Home Invasion Robbery

A 20-year-old woman has been charged.

  Two gunshots were fired during a home invasion robbery in the 7700 block of Greenbrook Drive in Greenbelt, MD, according to Greenbelt Police. Brittany Skyy Dove, 20, of Temple Hills, was charged in the Aug. 10 armed robbery, according to District Court of Maryland records. She was charged with first and second degree assault, robbery with a dangerous weapon and reckless endangerment, according to police. Dove was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner. Greenbelt Police said no one was hit by the gunshots. "There are no other details being released at this time since it is still an active investigation," stated officer Kelly Lawson, police spokesperson.

Police Investigating Murder of Greenbelt Man Found Inside Burning Car

Prince George's County police are investigating the murder of a 33-year old Greenbelt man found Wednesday morning in Fort Washington.

The Prince George's County Police Department is investigating the murder of a Greenbelt man who they found with gunshot wounds and inside a burning car on Wednesday morning in Fort Washington, Md., according to Cpl. Henry Tippett, spokesman for Prince George’s County Police. At approximately 12:50 a.m., police officers responded to the report of the sound of gunshots in the 1100 block of Palmer Road in Fort Washington. When police arrived on the scene, “The officer saw a car that was partially engulfed in flames,” Tippett said. “The officer had to act quick.” Officers found 33-year-old Marcellus Jermaine Jackson, of the 600 block of Mandan Road, Greenbelt inside the vehicle, according to police. “He was found with multiple gunshot wounds…
