The Lanham man reportedly tried to slam his car into his wife's car on Greenbelt Road while she was fleeing from him.
A Lanham man is now under arrest after police said he tried ramming his vehicle into his wife's car while she was driving along Greenbelt Road on Tuesday, according to the Prince George's Sheriff's office. Anthony Posey was arrested Wednesday on charges of first and second degree assault, the warrant stated. Police reported that Posey was arguing with his estranged wife on Tuesday in the 7500 block of Mission Dr. in Lanham. After the dispute, police said Posey attempted to slam his car into her vehicle as she was driving westbound on Greenbelt Road. Greenbelt police are investigating an early morning armed carjacking off Cherrywood Lane and several other crimes reported between Feb. 1 and Feb. 7.
Greenbelt police are investigating an armed carjacking that occurred in the early morning hours of Friday. According to police, around 12:44 a.m. the carjacking victim saw two suspects attempting to steal his dark green 2002 Ford Crown Victoria with Maryland tags in the 5900 block of Cherrywood Lane. When the victim confronted the suspects, police said, they scuffled and a suspect brandished a handgun. Police said the suspects fled the scene in the victim's vehicle. ------- According to the police report attached to this post, a strong armed robbery was also reported in the 6100 block of Breezewood Court. The Greenbelt Police Department is in need of the public's help to find Rodman Alexis Gomez, 26, of 6140 Springhill Terrace. Gomez was identified as the suspect in a Nov. 2 incident where a man exposed his genitals to an 11-year-old girl in Greenbelt West, according to the police. Officers responded to a report of an indecent exposure incident in the 6100 block of Springhill Terrace at about 5 p.m. on Nov. 2, police said. At the time, they believed the suspect may have lived in the vicinity. On Nov. 13, they obtained an arrest warrant for Gomez from the District Court for Prince George’s County and charged him with one count of indecent exposure. Police are getting $37,000 for a variety of road safety purposes.
The Greenbelt Police Department announced that it recently received a $22,000 traffic safety grant through the Maryland State Highway Administration's Highway Safety Office. The grant aims to aid police officers in conducting more traffic enforcement measures to catch impaired and aggressive drivers and motorcyclists. It will also go toward enforcement of seat belt and child car seat use laws. The police also announced receiving an additional $15,000 grant from the Highway Administration’s Motor Carrier Division to perform commercial motor vehicle enforcement activities. The funds come from a federal grant program, the Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program, which provides financial assistance to help reduce the number and severity of …

Suspect, described as a teenager, implied he had a weapon.
Police are searching for a individual described as a teenager who apparently gave up an attempt to rob a man when then victim explained that he had no money. Greenbelt police said the assailant, who implied he had a weapon, asked the victim for money on the 7200 block of Mandan Road. The victim told the would-be robber that he didn't have any money, and the suspect walked away, police said. The incident occurred on Tuesday. The suspect is described as 17 to 18 years old, 5 foot 7 to 5 foot 8, 140 to 155 pounds, and as wearing a black North Face jacket and a black mask. Two suspects wearing "Jason" Halloween masks robbed a man at gunpoint in Greenbelt, according to the Greenbelt Police Department. The men then fled on a lime-green scooter. The robbery took place on the 5800 block of Cherrywood Lane, minutes before midnight on Tuesday, according to police. The suspects are described as 5 foot 6, weighing 150 pounds, police report.
