Gold's Gym closed abruptly before Thanksgiving and now its storefront stands empty in the Beltway Plaza Mall in Greenbelt, MD. It may have taken gold in our Readers' Choice for best gym in Greenbelt, but the Gold's Gym located in Beltway Plaza Mall closed abruptly just before the Thanksgiving holiday. A Patch reader wrote into us to notify us about their closure—noting that the gym closed overnight on Nov. 21, but the space was cleared out of the gym's equipment. However, there was no note on the door explaining why. It closed so quickly the Beltway Plaza Mall directory still lists Gold's Gym as an open business.
