County Crime Watch: Missing Teen; Realtor Sexually Assaulted During Inspection

Temple Hills Drug Trafficker Sentenced 11 Years in Prison According to Prince George's County Police Department reports, on Monday, Chief U.S. District Judge Deborah Chasanow sentenced Eric Leroy Byrd, age 46, of Temple Hills, Maryland, to 132 months, the equivalent of approximately 11 years, in prison followed by five years of supervised release for possession with intent to distribute cocaine base. According to reports of Byrd’s guilty plea, from September 2009 to April 2010 he distributed crack cocaine to an individual in Prince George’s and Charles counties, Maryland. Police aren't sure who they are looking for, but a description of the incident and suspect are below.

UPDATE: Two Teens Exonerated in Greenbelt Rape Case

The two teens initially charged with seven counts in a Greenbelt rape case from December 2011 are free, after DNA tests proved their innocence.

Update, June 29, 5:25 p.m.: Charges against two Prince George's teens have been dropped because DNA tests indicate they weren't involved in a sexual assault near the Greenbelt metro in December 2011. Sheldon Snead, 19, of Laurel and K 'Vaughn Brandon Hines, 19, of Mt. Rainier, were freed today from jail after a four-month stay, according to ABC7. Full update available here on Greenbelt Patch.
