The Baysox Give Back

The team is accepting donations and family nominations for their annual Louie's Holiday Hope Project.

For the sixth consecutive year, the Bowie Baysox are bring back Louie’s Holiday Hope Project to help local families in need during the holiday season. Last year, the the project was able to help 21 families with 48 children and hopes to help even more this year through onigoing partnerships with the Prince George’s County Fire Department, the Bowie Police Department and Bowie Youth & Family services, according to a press release. The program began in 2007 by helping out a couple of local families. Brian Shallcross, the Baysox general manager, is pleased with the program’s growth. “Our partners and our fans have rallied behind Louie through donations and also for finding local families whose holidays we can make a little more enjoyable,” …
