Photos: Miss Greenbelt 2012 Winners Announced
Three contestants took home crowns in the annual Miss Greenbelt pageant Sunday.
The rain held off for the newly crowned royalty in Greenbelt Sunday, when three girls were named the new Miss Greenbelt pageant winners. Ashley Wickline took home the Little Miss Greenbelt crown, and Caroline Casey was named Junior Miss Greenbelt. Veronica Handunge took home the Miss Greenbelt title. Thirty-two girls participated in the pageant this year. Former Miss Greenbelt winners spoke before the crowning about their favorite memories from their reigning years including Artful Afternoons and Greenbelt's Earth Day tree plantings. They all thanked their families as well— Victoria Gray, Miss Greenbelt 2011, shed tears as she thanked her family for their support.
