  Fake Cop Pulls Over Real Cop, Gets Caught Prince George's County Police arrested a police impersonator Wednesday, after he pulled over an off-duty police officer in Upper Marlboro. Prince George's Councilwoman Found Guilty of Reckless Driving Councilwoman Karen Toles has been found guilty of reckless driving stemming from an incident in February where she was caught speeding close to 105 mph hour along the Capital Beltway. Police testified that Toles told them she was distracted by her phone and putting on makeup during the time of the incident. Del. Del. Gaines Tells Greenbelt Council CSX Intermodal Destined for Baltimore

Beltsville may be off the hook. The Batimore-Washington Rail Intermodal Facility has found a location in Baltimore City, according to Delegate Gaines, who is awaiting official word.

Delegate Tawanna Gaines (D-Dist. 22) told the Greenbelt City Council that CSX has found the location for its intermodal facility and it is in Baltimore, though she said she is awaiting final confirmation. The Greenbelt City Council has voted several times in favor of sending out letters in opposition to the facility locating to nearby Beltsville, MD. "I heard just a few days ago that CSX has found some place in Baltimore," she told the council Monday. Gaines said CSX has not sent a letter regarding $500,000 that Gaines said she and colleagues placed in the state budget, tying CSX to a Baltimore location. Council To Address CSX Intermodal Facility and Parke Crescent's Continued Operation

City Council will take up issues incluidng: a waiver for Parke Crescent Apartment, the location of the CSX Intermodal Facility, proposed improvements at Greenbelt Middle School and Springhill Lake Elementary.

Greenbelt City Council will hold a regular meeting Monday at 8 p.m. in the council room on the second floor of the Municipal Building. Council plans to take up the following presentations, reports, legislation and business, among other issues: Presentations Council Reports Committee Reports LEGISLATION A Resolution to Adopt the Maryland Municipal Public Works Officials’ Association (MMPWOA) Public Works Mutual Aid Agreement. The goal of the MMPWOA is to have all municipalities that have a Public Works Departments adopt and sign the agreement as part of their emergency management plan, according to City Council's agenda notes. City Council Roundup

City Council held its regular meeting Monday and took up issues ranging from the potential CSX intermodal facility in Beltsville to the community-wide visioning exercise.

At its regular meeting on Monday, Greenbelt City Council took up a bikeshare feasibility study, the WMATA railcar commissioning facility, the CSX intermodal facility, the gateway sign project, the Greenbelt Development Corporation, a visioning exercise, Youth Advisory Committee matters and the appointments of council members and citizens to boards, committees and advisory groups. Bikeshare Feasibility Study Greenbelt City Council voted 5-0 at its regular meeting on Monday to authorize the filing of a grant application, noting its commitment for a 20 percent match, with the Maryland Department of Transportation's Maryland Bikeshare Program.
