GHI Board Elects Sue Ready as President

The GHI Board elected new officers Thursday.

GHI's Board of Directors elected officers on Thursday, choosing two newly-elected directors as its top officers—Diane Ready and Frank DeBernardo. President Sue Ready, may be newly elected, but she is not new to the board. She has served six years on past boards, three of those years as vice president. GHI Members Elect 2 New Directors to Board

GHI will see one board member depart and will gain two new members.

Three incumbents and two new directors were elected to Greenbelt Homes, Inc. (GHI) Board of Directors Friday night. The five elected to the board are Sue Ready, Frank DeBernardo, Ed James, Diana McFadden, and David Morse. Ready and DeBernardo were challengers. Irwin Wartell, an incumbent, lost his relection bid. A total of 204 votes were cast in the election. Both top vote-getters were not incumbents. Ready, who is a former member of the GHI Board, earned the most votes at 158. DeBernardo came in second with 146 votes. Seven GHI members ran for five seats that were open. The board consists of nine members in all, but four of the seats were not up for re-election in 2012. GHI Board of Directors Up for Election

Seven GHI members are running for five seats on the GHI Board of Directors.

Five seats are up for election on the Greenbelt Homes Inc. (GHI) Board of Directors—and seven GHI members are in the running for them. Find out more about the candidates in their bios, posted below. The voting will begin after GHI's annual meeting on Thursday, May 17 and continue through May 18. The annual meeting will be held from 7:30-10:30 p.m. in the Community Center gym. Friday's voting will take place at the GHI management office from 7-10 a.m. and 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, until noon is the deadline for members pick up applications for absentee ballots from GHI Director of Member Services Joan Krob at GHI's Management Office.
