Acid Attack Mastermind Convicted Friday

Tamara Jackson was found guilty of planning an acid attack that injured a woman and her toddler.

  A Bladensburg woman was convicted on Friday of planning an acid attack on a woman while she was holding her 3-year old child, as reported by NBC Washington. The woman who confessed to throwing the acid-like substance is Tikia Anderson, of Greenbelt. However, prosecutors said it was Jackson who convinced Anderson to carry out the attack in March of 2010, according to NBC's report. Jackson was angry with the victim, Katrina Watts, whose daughter was fathered by a man Jackson once dated, the report states. Jackson, 31, was found guilty on four counts Friday, including second-degree assault and conspiracy to commit first degree assault, according to WJLA. Anderson pleaded guilty in the case and testified against Jackson. Jackson is now …
