There is a free fireworks show on July 3 at Trinity Assembly of God 7800 Good Luck Road inRead More Lanham/Greenbelt. Free kids activities at the Boys and Girls Club ball fields adjacent to church grounds. Door prizes. Free concert by local and regional musicians. Event starts at 6 pm. Bring your own chair or blanket.

There is one shot per commenter but other commenters who support the group are welcome — so the more comments an organization receives, the better chance it has at winning. If you know of a worthy nonprofit, have it mobilize its supporters to leave comments." It actually sounds to me more like a way for Patch to boost traffic on its site so AOL can go to advertisers and Wall Street investors and say, see--it's working! To those offended by my cynicism, sorry, but when the pool of comments includes people who have commented twice, and people with unrecognizable names, the word "randomness" loses its meaning.

For those who are in east Riverdale come join us at William Wirt Middle School as we clean up BriersRead More Mill Run, that is the stream that runs between Parkdale and William Wirt. Members of the Riverdale Heights/Riverdale Hills/Crestwood Community Association will be working with students from William Wirt, and members of the Riverdale Heights Volunteer Fire department to clean up the area.
