City of Greenbelt Department of Public Works

Do you ever wonder who's responsible for making Greenbelt beautiful? The people who cut the grass at parks, plant trees and flowers throughout the city, maintain streets to prepare them for the elements, keep police vehicles functioning properly and even shoot off the fireworks for 4th of July festivities take center stage at their brand-new, state-of-the-art green facility on Crescent Road next to Buddy Attick Park. Aside from beautifying the city, Public Works is also the place to call for recycling bins and quarterly electronics removal. Its staff also operates Greenbelt Connection. The personalized bus service costs $2 for residents and $1 for elderly and handicapped residents, and runs 8am - 5pm seven days a week.
