Greenbelt Labor Day Festival

·      Where:  Roosevelt Center at 101 Centerway in Greenbelt

·      When:  Saturday, Aug. 31, 9 a.m.

·      Description:  This year, 2013, will mark the 59th year of the Festival, which will take place from Friday, August 30, through Monday, September 2, at the Roosevelt Center at 101 Centerway in Greenbelt.

·      Cost:  Free

 FREE Bee Yoga Fusion Family Class

·      Where:  Greenbelt Youth Center - 99 Centerway, Greenbelt

·      When:  Saturday, Aug. 31, 10:30 a.m.

·      Description:  Learn ways parents and children can use simple and fun exercises to build strength, flexibility and enhance balance- using props that you already have in your home. Learn yoga poses, spend time as a family and leave the workshop with the tools you need to live a healthier lifestyle.

·      Cost: Free

Pet CPR and First Aid Course

·      Where:  Clipper's Canine Cafe

·      When:  Saturday, Aug. 31, 11 a.m.

·      Description:   PetStructor will be offering a 5 hour PetSaver course here at Clipper's Canine Cafe. Learn how you can make a difference in the life of your pet. Instructor Merrill Warchal was trained by Pet Tech®, the first international Pet CPR, First Aid & Care for dogs and cats. 

·      Cost:  $65

End of Summer Oldies Concert

·      Where:  American Legion Laurel Post 60, 2 Main Street, Laurel

·      When:  Saturday, Aug. 31, 7 p.m.

·      Description:  The Retro-Rockets an oldies/variety/dance will be at the 
American Legion Laurel Post 60, 2 Main Street, Laurel.  There will be plenty of great danceable music of the 50s, 60s, 70s, and beyond. Snacks and a cash bar will be available.

·      Cost:  Free

Ultimate Tailgate Buffet

·      Where:   The Common at the Marriott Inn and Conference Center, 3501 University Boulevard East in Hyattsville

·      When:  Saturday, Aug. 31, 10 a.m.

·      Description:  The Ultimate Tailgate is held indoors at The Common, a stylish new restaurant and pub in the Marriott Inn and Conference Center University of Maryland University College. The Ultimate Tailgate Pre Game Buffet is available beginning two and one-half hours before kickoff for Terrapin home games during the 2013-2014 season. 

·      Cost:  $17.95 per person plus tax and gratuity

Twentieth Century

·      Where:  Bowie Playhouse

·      When:  Friday, Aug. 30, 8 p.m.

·      Description:  Oscar Jaffe finds that the movie star whom he promoted for Broadway stardom years earlier is on board the same train as he is. He tries to lure her away from Hollywood (and her new love interest) to save his floundering career. Other passengers on the train provide multiple comic subplots for a screwball comedy set in the 1930's.

·      Cost: $20 Adults, $15 Seniors/18 & Under

Forest Garden Training Day

·      Where:  3507 Enterprise Road, Bowie

·      When:  Saturday, Aug. 31, 9 a.m.

·      Description:  How can we design a food system that works like an ecosystem?  Come see some of our successes and learning opportunities :-) in growing forest gardens.  The class will be held at a 10-acre forest garden and at a small 7-year-old backyard forest garden.

·      Cost: $150
