Greenbelt Animal Shelter Gets Ready for Dog Days of Summer

This fundraiser will feature animals looking for a home.

It may not feel like the dog days of summer have arrived, but the Greenbelt Animal Shelter is getting ready for summer with a fundraiser later this month. 

The 11th annual Dog Days of Summer will be held June 15 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Shcrom Hills Park.

Registration is from 10 - 11 a.m and costs $10 per dog.

The event will feature animals who are looking for a home as well as some traditional summer activities with an animalistic twist:

  • Best kisser contest
  • Best costume contest
  • Celebrity look-alike contest
  • Doggie disco
  • Animal crafts
