This forested floodplain of the Patuxent River, near Bowie State University is home to a wide variety of wildlife and wildflowers. Meet members of the Prince George's Audubon Society for Saturday morning bird walks to one of two areas of the park. No reservations needed.
The 1st Saturday of the month, meet for bird/nature walks in the Fran Uhler Natural Area of the park. The third Saturday, gather for bird/nature waks through the Governor Bridge Natural Area. For both bird watching tours, meet at the Patuxent River Park gate and bring binoculars. Waterproof footwear suggested.
