When Does School Close For Christmas In Prince George's?

Prince George's County public school students will have an 11-day winter break this year.

Prince George's County Public School students will have an 11-day winter break this year, including weekends. Public schools and PGCPS offices will close on the following dates for Christmas, winter break and New Year’s Day:

  • Christmas Holiday, Dec. 24 and 25—PGCPS offices and schools are closed.
  • Winter Break, Dec. 26 to 28—PGCPS offices and schools are closed.
  • New Year's, Dec. 31, 2012 and Jan. 1, 2013—PGCPS offices and schools are closed.
