Target Seeks Votes for Greenbelt School Donations

Schools need supplies, too. Here's a quick way to help out your local school

School has already started in Prince George’s County, but plenty of parents are still in need of some last minute school supplies.

Parent’s aren’t the only ones – schools need the tools of the trade, too, to ensure kids get the most out of their time in the classroom. To help, Target is running an online campaign where, if a school gets 25 votes on its Give With Target website, the retailer will donate $25 to the school, and an additional dollar for every vote after that.

As of Monday afternoon, Greenbelt Elementary was leading local schools with 29 votes.

Target will donate up to $5 million to schools nationwide, twice what the retailer set aside to donate in 2012. You can vote through Sept. 21.
