Roosevelt Valedictorian Is Awarded Northrop Grumman Scholarship

Ankush Gola received accolades and a $10,000 scholarship at Northrop Grumman's Engineering Scholars awards ceremony and dinner.

Northrop Grumman Corporation awarded a $10,000 scholarship to Ankush Gola, valedictorian for Roosevelt High School's Class of 2011. Students from each of Maryland's 23 counties and a student from the city of Baltimore received individual merit-based scholarships during an awards ceremony and dinner at the company's ninth annual Engineering Scholars program in Baltimore.

Gola, who ranked number one in his class of 635 and scored 2230 on his SAT, plans to pursue a degree in electrical engineering at Princeton University.

A straight-A student throughout high school, with 10 AP courses to boot, Ankush is also an athlete and musician. And during his senior year, he performed research at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. How does he do it?

Kudos Ankush!
