Meet The Superintendent Finalists Tuesday

Before the school board chooses, get a chance to meet the candidates slated to lead the Prince George's County Public Schools.

Parents, students and neighbors will get a chance to meet the three finalists for Prince George's County Public Schools superintendent Tuesday.

Each candidate will host a forum for questions for 45 minutes starting at 6 p.m. with Eric J. Becoats, Durham Public Schools' superintendent, followed by Alvin Crawley, current acting superintendent at 7 p.m. and then finally Harrison A.  Peters, Chicago Public Schools' chief of schools at 8 p.m.

The forum will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Sasscer Administration Building, 14201 School Lane, Upper Marlboro.

The public forums will be shown live via Comcast Channel 96 and Verizon Channel 38; and http://www1.pgcps.org/tv96/.

The school board will announce the new superintendent before July 1.
