Seasonal & Savory Food Demo & Wine Tasting

To celebrate “Patron Appreciation Day,” the Greenbelt Co-op Supermarket and Pharmacy is sponsoring “Seasonal & Savory,” a series of cooking demos and samplings to encourage shoppers to increase their consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables. Each month, staff members  Ellen Siegel (Whole Foods Chef & Produce Department Manager) and Kim Rush Lynch (Certified Nutritional Consultant & Health Coach) will prepare a savory dish that will feature items from the Produce Department along with other ingredients from the store that shoppers may not be familiar with using. Co-op wine consultant, John Mealey, will recommend and sample a few wines to pair with the tasty fare. The events are free and open to the public.
