Prince George’s Council Approves Baker Appointees

Council confirms picks for office of management, community relations.

The Prince George’s County Council this week approved County Executive Rushern L. Baker’s picks to head two important posts in county government.

Council members gave passing votes to fill the position for the director of the Office of Management and Budget and director of the Office of Community Relations.

Terri Bacote-Charles will head the Office of Management and Budget while Musa Eubanks will lead the Office Community Relations. Bacote-Charles will be paid an annual salary of $150,000 and Eubanks will be paid $135,000, according to a county spokesperson.

The two represent the latest confirmations of appointees from the Baker administration.

“Terri Bacote-Charles and Musa Eubanks are incredible Prince Georgians that are perfectly suited to lead their respective departments,” said Baker in a statement.

“I want to thank the Prince George’s County Council for approving these nominees.  The Office of Community Relations and the Office of Management and Budget are critical departments to the citizens in terms of money the residents invest in the county and the services and support they receive.”

Bacote-Charles will oversee the office responsible for budget formulation, fiscal control and policy analysis. She previously served as the deputy director of the agency during 2011. Her confirmation comes as the county is maneuvering

Eubanks will head the agency responsible for community outreach and engagement. An attorney by trade, he previously worked as special counsel for the D.C. government’s Office of Corporation Counsel for former Mayor Anthony Williams.
