NASA Releases Ocean Animation for iPad App

You can check out NASA Goddard animators magic on your desktop or iPad.

NASA animators at the Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD, have produced a new animation that shows the movement of the Earth's oceans' currents over a time period of more than two years - from June 2005 to December 2007. The scientific visualization captures tens of thousands of ocean surface currents.

NASA Goddard also released a 3-minute version on its NASA Visualization Explorer iPad app.

Both the 20-minute and 3-minute versions are available in high definition on its website.
