Mayor Davis Wants Movie Theater Renovated This Term

Mayor Davis talks about the challenges and opportunities ahead for the city.

, the 39th Greenbelt City Council re-elected Judith "J" Davis as mayor. Soon after Mayor Davis summarized past accomplishments and what she hopes to see accomplished during this term of City Council, which included renovating the movie theatre.

Mayor Davis on What Has Been Accomplished

  • The renovation of the Springhill Lake Recreation Center and the Braden Field tennis courts;
  • The Greenhill stream restoration now underway;
  • The installation of a larger generator at the fire station that will allow it to be used for an emergency shelter;
  • The new Greenbelt Middle School is 50 percent complete,
    but the discussion of what to do with the old building is far from over.
