Greenbelt News Briefs: Wednesday Worksession Cancelled, Basketball Clinic Open
A few notes from around the city of Greenbelt.
- The city council worksession scheduled for Wed., Jan. 9 has been cancelled.
- A basketball clinic for ages 12 to 16 will be offered Friday, Jan. 18 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Springhill Lake Recreation. It's free for rec card holders. For more information call: 301-397-2212.
- 2013 Shuttle UM passes are available for city residents and employees. They can be purchased for $10 at the Greenbelt Aquatic and Fitness Center or the youth center.
- The Greenbelt Recreation Department still has openings for the following trips: Udvar-Hazy Center on Thursday, Jan. 31, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Metamorphoses at Arena Stage on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Participants must be over 18 and there is a cost associated with each trip—transportation is included. The Udvar-Hazy trip does NOT include lunch, but the Arena Stage trip includes lunch and show. Pre-registration is required. Please call 301-397-2208 for more information.
