Greenbelt Closes Non-Emergency Facilities Monday as Sandy Heads North

Though normal Greenbelt facilities are closed, emergency personnel will be working.

Normal city facilities, offices and operations will be closed Monday, according to the City of Greenbelt. But Emergency and public safety personnel will continue to work throughout the storm, the city says.

Greenbelt urges its residents to stay at home, shelter in place, and watch TV and radio stations for information about the weather.

Residents can get updates from Greenbelt Alert, the city's website, and its Facebook page, as well as the government channel (Verizon 21/Comcast 71) and from recorded messages on the Greenbelt Recreation Department's Weather and Information Hotline at (301) 474-0646.
