Greenbelt City Council Preview: April 26

The Greenbelt City Council will meet Tuesday at 8 p.m.

The Greenbelt City Council will meet Tuesday at 8 p.m. to discuss various agenda items and legislation that will affect the city. It will also be the first public hearing on the fiscal year 2012 budget.

Several presentations will be made: the Public Works Week Proclamation, Kids to Parks Day and Healthy Maryland Day.

Legislative items on the agenda (second reading and adoption) include a resolution to negotiate purchase of banking services from The Columbia Bank; a resolution to negotiate the purchase of annual landscape and mowing services from Inside Out Services of Silver Spring, Md.; and a resolution to negotiate the purchase of fleet management software from Arsenault Associates of Burlington, N.J.

Business items on the agenda include the Parke Crescent signage; the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Proposal; and the Property-Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) Programs.

The meeting will be held at the City of Greenbelt Municipal Building. If you are unable to attend the meeting, it will be broadcast on Channel 71 or 21 on Verizon Fios.
