Greenbelt City Council Meets Tonight: What's on the Agenda?
One resident will petition the council about the city's policy on reporting crime to its residents, specifically referencing an incident related to child pornography in the city.
Greenbelt's mayor and city council will meet Tuesday for a regular legislative session and to host a public hearing on its fiscal year 2014 budget.
Here are a number of other items on the agenda:
- An Ordinance to Amend Article 3 “Public Parks, Playgrounds, Etc., Generally” of Chapter 12 “Parks and Recreation” of the Greenbelt City Code to Allow the Sale and Sampling of Wine at the Greenbelt Farmers Market between May 1st and December 24th of Each Year
- Farmers Market Signage
- Petition from John Abell – Policy of Reporting Crime and Special Procedures Regarding Child Pornography
- National Fish and Wildlife Service – Stormwater Grant
- County Legislation – CB-20-2013
- Participation in Maryland Smart Energy Communities Grant Program
Meeting will begin at 8 p.m. in the Municipal Building at 25 Crescent Road. Residents can also watch it live on Verizon channel 21 or Comcast channel 71 or stream it live on the web at www.greenbeltmd.gov.
