Electronics Recycling in Greenbelt Saturday

Recycle televisions, computers and other electronics this weekend.

Those broken, unused electronics are just taking up space in your homes—so bring them out to the city of Greenbelt's Public Works Facility at 555 Crescent Road Saturday.

From 9 a.m. until noon, DPW staff will be on hand to help you recycle any electronics including batteries.

So what can you recycle? TVs (no larger than 32"), CPUs, monitors, keyboards, mice printers, laptop computers, recording equipment, speakers, scanners, surge protectors, wires and power cords fax machines, cameras, telephones, radios, DVD players, VCRs, expanded polystyrene (block “Styrofoam” #6, but no cups, egg-cartons, nor food trays).

Batteries will also be accepted, but they must be taped on one end. Batteries are a fire hazard.

What can't you recycle? Compact Florescent Lights (CFLs) are not accepted. However, MOMs in College Park accepts CFLs.
