Woman Injured in Car Accident
The woman was transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
A woman had to be extricated from her car Thursday night as result of a motor vehicle accident on Greenbelt Road.
The accident occurred shortly after 10 p.m. at the intersection of Greenbelt Road and Southway.
Officials on the scene said a car traveling westbound on Greenbelt Road ran a traffic light and struck the car driven by the woman as she was turning onto Greenbelt Road from Southway.

Firefighters were able to free the woman from her vehicle within 10 minutes, and she was transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the other car was not injured, and the accident is under investigation.
