Update: Two Sent to Hospital Following Knife Attack in Greenbelt
Ogunmuyima Bamidele Ogundele is charged with two counts of attempted murder, according to Greenbelt Police.
Update, June 29, 9:47 a.m.: Both of the alleged victims in the knife attack were released from the hospital Saturday night, according to Officer Kelly Lawson, spokesperson for the Greenbelt Police Department. They were a 42- and a 26-year old male, Lawson stated.
Original Post, 9:37 p.m.: Ogunmuyima Bamidele Ogundele, 37, of Lanham, cut two individuals with a knife during a dispute in Greenbelt, MD, on Saturday, according to the Greenbelt Police Department in its weekly crime report on Thursday night.
The victims were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police. Police did not respond to a request for information on the alleged victims' conditions by press time.
Ogundele was arrested and charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder, police report. He was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner, police state.
