In the wake of a two-vehicle collision, U.S. Route 1 in Beltsville is re-opened and a truck driver has been transported to the hospital, according to Maryland State Police.

Update, Nov. 22, 10:40 p.m.: The Peterbilt flatbed tow truck driver whose truck ran into the Quality Auto Parts Store in Beltsville has been transported to Prince George's Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to Cpl. Bramble said the tow truck was headed south on U.S. Route 1, when a white Infinity car headed northbound lost control and crossed the turn lanes into the southbound portion of U.S. Route 1.

The Infinity collided with the tow truck, then the tow truck lost control and ran into Quality Auto Parts, Bramble said, citing the time that the incident call came in to police at about 7:20 p.m.
