Woman Hits Man's Face with Plate in Domestic Dispute
Connie Davis was arrested early Wednesday morning on assault charges after a domestic dispute with a man who said Davis hit him in the face with a plate, according to the Prince George's County Sheriff's Office (PGSO).
Deputies responded to a call in the 1100 block of Chapel Wood Lane in Capitol Heights, where Davis and the victim lived, and the victim told them that a physical altercation had taken place with his girlfriend, according to the sheriff's office. The victim was later treated at the Prince George's Hospital Center for minor injuries, PGSO says.
Davis was charged with first and second degree assault and taken into custody, according to PGSO. The Prince George's County Fire Department responded to the same home after receiving a call about a fire that occurred simultaneously with the emergency domestic violence call, and it is investigating the fire's cause, according to the PGSO.

Go-Go Band Promoter Found Shot Dead in Apartment
Deandre Yates, 23, promoter for the Go-Go band Total Control Band (TCB) was found fatally shot inside an apartment in Forestville at around 1:50 a.m. Wednesday, according to PGPD.
An unknown suspect forced entry into the apartment, according to an investigation, police say. Yates and the suspect exchanged gunfire, and the supsect fled, according to police.
