Police Blotter: Sept 8-14

The following arrest information was supplied by the Greenbelt Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Sept. 8: A bullet came through the ceiling of an apartment on the 9100 block of Edmonston Terrace at 4:02 p.m. No one was injured.

Sept. 9: A burglary took place on the 9100 block of Edmonston Terrace at 9:57 a.m. Nothing was reported taken.

Officers received a report of hearing possible gun shots in the area near the 5900 block of Cherrywood Lane at 1:03 p.m. Nothing was found.

Almineo Alfred Peterson, 21, of Baltimore, was arrested and charged with trespassing on private property on the 5800 block of Cherrywood Terrace at 5:11 p.m. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

A robbery was reported on the 6100 block of Breezewood Court at 8:45 p.m. Two suspects approached the victims, produced a handgun and demanded money. The suspects assaulted one of the victims, and fired shots in the area of the other victims. The suspects are described as black males, one 5’10”, and one 5’7”, both wearing all black.

Jason Robert Lawson, 26, of Hyattsville, was arrested and charged with trespassing on private property on the 9100 block of Springhill Lane at 10:15 p.m. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner.

A resident juvenile was petitioned for trespassing on private property on the 5800 block of Cherrywood Terrace at 10:50 p.m. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending action by the Department of Juvenile Services.

A handicap placard was taken from a vehicle on the Unit block of Ridge Road.

A stereo was taken from a vehicle on the intersection of Springhill Drive and Edmonston Road.

A window was broken on the 9100 block of Edmonston Court.

Sept. 10: Jody Devon Wright, 20, of Suitland, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine in a school zone, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, and possession of crack cocaine, among others charges, on the 5900 block of Cherrywood Terrace at 11:04 a.m. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner.

Stephen Tyrone Edon, 19, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute PCP in a school zone, possession with intent to distribute PCP, and possession of PCP, among others charges on the 9100 block of Springhill Lane at 3:40 p.m. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner.

Sept. 11: Regginald Alonzo Mayers, 35, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop on the 6000 block of Greenbelt Road at 1:16 a.m. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

Laptops were taken from a residence on the 5800 block of Cherrywood Terrace at 9:51 p.m.

A green 2004 Dodge Intrepid with Maryland tags was recovered from the unit block of Westway. No arrests were made.

Sept. 12: A brick was thrown through a window on the 7300 block of Frankfurt Place at 8:23 a.m.

A window was shot with a BB gun on the 7200 block of Hanover Parkway at 4:34 p.m.

A green 1997 Acura with Maryland tags, reported stolen through Hyattsville Police, was recovered. No arrests were made.

Lug nut covers were taken from a vehicle on the 7400 block of Greenbelt Road.

A silver 1999 Plymouth Neon with Maryland tags, originally reported stolen from the 9100 block of Edmonston Court, was recovered in Clinton. No arrests were made.

A black 1999 Ford truck with Maryland tags, originally reported stolen on the 7500 block of Mandan Road, was recovered in Upper Marlboro. No arrests were made.

A white 1995 Lincoln Town Car with Maryland tags, originally reported stolen on the 5800 block of Cherrywood Lane, was recovered in the 1000 block of of 19th Street in Washington, DC No arrests were made.

Sept. 13: A non-resident juvenile was petitioned for disruption of school activities on the 7600 block of Hanover Parkway at 1:57 p.m. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending action by the Department of Juvenile Services.

A white 2006 Toyota pickup truck with Maryland tags, originally reported stolen on the 6900 block of Hanover Parkway, was recovered in District Heights. No arrests were made.

A GPS unit was among the items taken from a vehicle on the 7600 block of Greenbelt Road.

Sept. 14: A purse and iPod were taken from a residence on the 9200 block of Edmonston Road at 1:59 p.m.

Kenan Wayne Hollingsworth, 24, of Berwyn Heights, was arrested and charged with trespassing on private property on the 6100 block of Greenbelt Road at 9:56 p.m. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

There was an attempted burglary reported on the 7300 block of Hanover Parkway at 4:29 p.m.

A set of wheels were taken from a vehicle on the 200 block of Lakeside Drive.

A silver 2002 Lexus SUZ with Maryland tags, reported stolen from the 7400 block of Greenbelt Road, was recovered. No arrests were made.
