Police Blotter: Sept 15-22

The following arrest information was supplied by the Greenbelt Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Sept. 15: A burglary was reported on the 9100 block of Edmonston Road at 2:24 p.m. Jewelry and electronics were taken. 

Sept. 17: Lewis Albert Schrumm, 36, of College Park, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop near the intersection of Greenbelt Road and Walker Drive at 12:52 a.m. The suspect was released on citations pending trial. 

Clarence Gary Johnson, 30, of Washington, D.C., was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop near the intersection of Kenilworth Avenue and Old Calvert Road at 2:09 a.m. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

Graffiti was found in several places around the area on the 100 block of Centerway at 8:47 a.m.

A bullet was shot into an apartment on the 6200 block of Breezewood Court at 12:53 p.m. 

Jesse Fraser, 46, of Burtonsville, was arrested and charged with leaving a child unattended on the 6000 block of Greenbelt Road at 3:13 p.m. The suspect was released on citations pending trial. 

Electronics were taken from a residence on the 9000 Breezewood Terrace at 7:35 p.m. 

A strong armed robbery occurred on the 9100 block of Edmonston Road at 10:00 p.m. Two suspects assaulted the victim and took his property. The suspects are described as black males, 18-21 years old, 5’7”-5’11”, wearing black coats. 

A white 1999 Cadillac Escalade with Maryland tags was recovered by Montgomery County Police Department on the 5900 block of Cherrywood Terrace. No arrests were made. 

Sept. 19: At 7:52 p.m robbery on the intersection of Ora Glen Drive and Mandan Road. Two suspects approached the victim, displayed a handgun and demanded her property. The suspects are described as black males, 15-18 years old, 5’9”-5’11”, thin, wearing dark colored clothing. 

A car window was broken with a BB gun on the 7700 block of Hanover Parkway. 

A blue 2003 Dodge Caravan with Maryland tags, reported stolen through Prince George's County Police, was recovered on 28 court Ridge Road. No arrests were made. 

Sept. 20: A window was broken on the 5800 block of Cherrywood Terrace at 11:03 a.m. 

A window was broken on the 6100 block of Springhill Terrace at 11:03 a.m. 

Electronics were taken from a residence on the 5900 block of Cherrywood Lane at 6:07 p.m. 

A trespassing occurred on the 5800 block of Cherrywood Lane at 6:19 p.m. Michael Cardell Smith, Jr., 28, of Bowie, was arrested and charged with trespassing on private property. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner. 

A strong armed robbery occurred on the 7900 block of Hanover Parkway at 8:58 p.m. Four suspects approached the victim and demanded his property. The suspects are described as black males, 18-22 years old, wearing dark colored clothing. 

Sept. 21: A sliding glass door was broken on the 6200 block of Breezewood Drive at 3:28 p.m. 

A trespassing occurred on the 5800 block of Cherrywood Lane at 3:49 p.m. Jason Robert Lawson, 26, of Landover, was arrested and charged with trespassing on private property and possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner. 

A wallet, tools and currency were taken from a vehicle on the 9200 block of Edmonston Road. 

A red 1993 Honda Accord with District of Columbia tags, reported stolen through Metropolitan Police of the District of Columbia, was recovered near the intersection of Greenbelt Road and Kenilworth Avenue. No arrests were made. 

Sept. 22: Fog light covers were taken from a vehicle on the 9300 block of Edmonston Road. 

Reginald Anthony Klaiber, 22, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct on the 7900 block of Good Luck Road at 3:10 a.m. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.
