Police Blotter: Sept. 10-15

The Greenbelt Police released an activity report of crime in the last week.

Sept. 10: A robbery was reported at the 7700 block of Hanover Parkway. Three suspects approached the victim displaying a handgun and demanded the victim's property. They were described as black males, 16-18-years-old, thin build with black hair and brown eyes.

A window was broken on the 6200 block Breezewood Court at 6:40 p.m.

Strong armed robbery was reported at the corner of Springhill Drive and Springhill Lane at 8:55 p.m. The victim's money was taken after they were approached and assaulted by the suspects. The suspects were described as black males, one being 6'5", thin build, wearing a white t-shirt with tattoos on his face.

An attempted burglary was reported at the 7700 block of Hanover Parkway at 8:57 p.m.

A car window was broken on the 9300 block of Edmonston Road.

A car window was broken on the 6100 block of Breezewood Court.

A GPS was taken from the 5900 block of Springhill Drive.

A gray 2002 Hyundai Sonata with Maryland tags was stolen from the 6100 block of Breezewood Drive.

A GPS was taken from a vehicle on the 6000 block of Springhill Drive.

Automotive parts were taken from a vehicle on the 6000 block of Cherrywood Court.

A car window was broken on the 6000 block of Springhill Drive.

Sept. 11: Jamar Monte Brooks, 27, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with burglary after breaking into a vacant apartment at 12:06 a.m. on the 5800 block of Cherrywood Terrace. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before the District Court Commissioner.

Two resident juveniles and one non-resident juvenile were petitioned for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at the 9000 block of Breezewood Terrace at 5:27 p.m. The subjects were released to their guardians pending action by the Department of Juvenile Services.

Sept. 12: A vehicle was scratched and tires flattened at 8 court Southway.

A window was broken at the 6900 block of Hanover Parkway.

Several vehicles were broken into, but no items were taken at the 6900 block of Hanover Parkway.

Two vehicles were broken into and iPods were taken at the 6900 block of Hanover Parkway.

Sept. 13: Alexander Sandoval, 28, of Hyattsville was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol among other violations at the 6900 block of Hanover Parkway at 12:03 a.m. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

Luis Angel Espana Posada, 23, of Greenbelt was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol among other violations at Kenilworth Avenue at Rt. 495 at 3:14 a.m. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

A blue 2008 Toyota Corolla with Maryland tags, reported stolen through the Prince George's County Police was recovered. No arrests were made.

A door lock was damaged on the 5900 block of Cherrywood Lane.

Sept. 14: The rims and tires of a vehicle on the 9300 block of Edmonston Road were taken.

Attempted theft from a vehicle was reported on the 9300 block of Edmonston Road.

A car mirror was taken from a vehicle on the 6000 block Greenbelt Road.

A Maryland tag was taken from a car on the 9100 block Springhill Lane.

Sept. 15: A stereo system was taken from a vehicle on the 7900 block of Mandan Road.

Attempted theft from a vehicle was reported on the 7100 block of Megan Lane.

Gardening items were taken from a yard at the 7700 block of Ora Court at 6:57 a.m.

A resident juvenile was petitioned for trespassing on private property at the 7800 block of Hanover Parkway at 3:58 p.m. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending action by the Department of Juvenile Services. Deland Lapeer Harrison, 18, of Greenbelt was arrested and charged with trespassing on the same property. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.
