Police Blotter: March 3 – 10

The weekly crime activity report from the Greenbelt Police.

March 3: A burglary occurred on the 100 block of Westway at 1:24 p.m. Nothing was taken.

March 4: Wallace Hansberry Carroll, Jr., 24, of Greenbelt, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop on the intersection of Edmonston Road and Edmonston Court at 2:10 a.m. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

An attempted burglary occurred on the 6900 block of Hanover Parkway at 12:57 p.m.

March 5: Electronics were taken from a residence on the 7500 block of Greenway Center Drive at 9:00 a.m.

Ruslan Phillip Graubert, 20, of College Park, and Michael Cardell Smith, 28, of Bowie, were both arrested and charged with trespassing on the 6000 block of Springhill Drive at 10:24 p.m. Both suspects were released on citation pending trial.

An attempted auto theft occurred on the 7800 block of Mandan Road.

A car window was broken on the 7600 block of Hanover Parkway.

Two car windows were broken on the 6000 block of Greenbelt Road.

Two car windows were broken on the 9200 block of Springhill Lane.

March 6: Richard Curt Devenish, 44, of Landover Hills, was arrested and charged with trespassing and disorderly conduct on the 7200 block of Hanover Drive at 3:04 a.m. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

A GPS mount and a stereo were taken from a vehicle on the 6500 block of Springcrest Drive.

 A 1992 Acura Legend with Maryland tags, reported stolen on the 100 block of Westway, was recovered in the 8100 block of Mandan Terrace. No arrests were made.

March 7: An apartment window was broken on the 6100 block of Breezewood Court at 9:30 a.m.

A burglary occurred on the unit block of Pinecrest Court at 2:10 p.m. Currency was taken from a residence.

A burglary occurred on the 6900 block of Hanover Parkway at 2:57 p.m. Nothing was taken from a residence.

Tools and electronics were taken from a residence on the 9300 block of Edmonston Road at 3:38 p.m.

Bria Monique Walton, 18, of Laurel, was arrested and charged with trespassing on the 9100 block of Springhill Lane at 6:32 p.m. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

A car window was broken on the 200 block of Lakeside Drive.

A white 2005 Toyota Scion with Maryland tags was recovered by Maryland State Police on the 9100 block of Edmonston Road. No arrests were made.

March 8: A burglary took place on the 7700 block of Hanover Parkway at 1:06 p.m. Nothing was taken from the residence.

Gerard Andrew Deville, 48, of Bowie, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia on the 7200 block of Hanover Drive at 11:04 p.m.  The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner.

A black 2000 Nissan Maxima with Maryland tags was taken on the 9100 block of Springhill Lane.

March 9: An auto theft occurred on the 6900 block of Hanover Parkway.

An iPod and MP3 player were taken from a vehicle on the 7800 block of Hanover Parkway.

A registration sticker was taken from a vehicle on the 7800 block of Hanover Parkway.

March 10: A red 1999 Dodge Caravan with Maryland tags, reported stolen from Montgomery County Police, was recovered on the 7800 block of Hanover Parkway. No arrests were made.
