Police Blotter: March 10 - 17

The weekly crime activity report from the Greenbelt Police.

March 10: Raynard Antony Minor, 24, of Greenbelt, was arrested and charged with strong armed robbery, 2nd degree assault and theft under $100 on the 7800 block of Mandan Road at 4:00 p.m. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner.  

A burglary occurred on the 5800 block of Cherrywood Lane at 8:49 p.m. Nothing was taken.  

A strong arm robbery took place on the Unit block of Crescent Road at 8:52 p.m. The victim was approached by two suspects, who assaulted the victim and took his cell phone. The suspects are described as black males; no further information is provided.

Graffiti was found on a door on the 6200 block of Breezewood Court at 7:12 p.m.

A registration sticker was taken from a vehicle on the 5900 block of Cherrywood Terrace.

A white 1993 Jeep with Maryland tags reported stolen from the 7800 block of Hanover Parkway, was later recovered by Prince George’s County Police in the 7000 block of Hanover Parkway. No arrests were made.

March 11: Alan Wesley Rippeon, 27, of Greenbelt, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct on the 100 block of Centerway at 9:42 a.m. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

A Delaware temporary tag was taken from a vehicle on the 7700 block of Hanover Parkway.

A wallet was among the items taken from a vehicle on the 6000 block of Greenbelt Road.

March 13: Antonio Devon Sykes, 21, of Springdale, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol among other charges after a traffic stop at the intersection of Ora Glen Drive and Frankfort Drive at 3:38 a.m. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.  

Jose Fausto Iglesias, 57, of Hyattsville, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol among other charges after a traffic stop at the intersection of Kenilworth Avenue and Cherrywood Lane at 4:33 a.m. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

March 14: Nathaniel Antonio Bryant, 25, of Washington, D.C., was arrested and charged with motor vehicle theft and theft over $10,000, among other charges, after being found in possession of a white 1996 Nissan Maxima with Maryland tags on the intersection of Springhill Drive and Springhill Terrace at 5:20 a.m., which had been reported stolen through Prince George’s County Police. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner.

Personal belongings were taken from a vehicle on the 6200 block of Springhill Court.

An attempted theft of auto occurred on the 9100 block of Springhill Court.

A car window was broken on the 8000 block of Mandan Road.

A registration sticker was taken from a vehicle on the 6900 block of Hanover Parkway.

March 15: An attempted burglary occurred on the 7800 block of Emily’s Way at 6:26 p.m.

A black 1998 Ford Explorer with Maryland tags, reported stolen through Prince George’s County Police, was recovered on the 9200 block of Springhill Lane. No arrests were made.

A silver 2001 Honda Accord with Maryland tags, reported stolen through Prince George’s County Police, was recovered on the 6100 block of Springhill Terrace. No arrests were made.

March 16: Bria Monique Walton, 18, of Laurel, was arrested and charged with trespassing on private property on the 9100 block of Springhill Lane at 6:33 p.m. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner.

March 17: Douglas Jason Crumbacker, 30, of Rockyridge, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia on the 7500 block of Greenbelt Road at 12:46 a.m. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.
