Police Blotter: June 16 through 24

The following arrest information was supplied by the Greenbelt Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

  • June 16

5:50 p.m., 100 block of Centerway. A male resident juvenile, 15, was petitioned for second degree assault and disorderly conduct.  This was a non-custodial arrest. The suspect’s parents were notified.

6200 block of Breezewood Drive. Theft of vehicle. An agility moped and a Spechuawi moped. A male and a female juvenile, non-residents, were arrested and charged with theft over $1,000 and driving without a license. Both suspects were charged on juvenile petitions and released to parents.

  • June 17

3:57 p.m., 6500 block of Lake Park Drive. Electronics were taken.

8100 block of Bird Lane. Soda bottles were taken from a vehicle.

7700 block of Mandan Road. Theft from auto. Handicapped placard and SM radio from a vehicle.

  • June 18

12:15 a.m., 9100 block of Edmonston Court. Brittany Lateece Thomas, 21, of Greenbelt, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

12:06 a.m., south Kenilworth Avenue @ Greenbelt Road. Martin Crecencio Bravo Cordero, 33, was arrested and charged with driving while impaired with alcohol. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

3:11 a.m., 7200 block of Hanover Drive. Jason Allen Adams, 22, of Bowie, was arrested and charged with assault, resisting arrest, disorderly and failure to comply. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court commissioner.

7700 block of Mandan Road. Personal items were taken from a vehicle

9100 block of Edmonston Road. Theft of vehicle. A silver 1995 Chrysler Sirrus, Maryland tags

A 1995 Chrysler Sirrus reported stolen on June 18 from the 9100 block of Edmonston Court was recovered by the Bladensburg Police Department the same day in the 4900 block of Tilden Road, Bladensburg. No arrests were made.

  • June 19

4:04 a.m., 6000 block of Greenbelt Road. Godwin Habib Meghju, 32, was arrested and charged with driving while impaired with alcohol. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

6:25 a.m., west Greenbelt Road at Hanover Parkway. Shelton Curtis Johnson, 43, of Montpelier, was arrested and charged with driving while impaired by alcohol. The suspect was released from headquarters on a citation, pending trial.       

  • June 20

10:39 a.m., 6000 block of Greenbelt Road. Jose Aimendares, 30, of Berwyn Heights was arrested and charged with trespassing on private property and possession of CDS paraphernalia. He had recently been banned from the property for drinking alcohol on the premises. The suspect was released on the two criminal citations, pending trial.

7:06 p.m., 7400 block of Greenbelt Road.  Two female suspects attempted to leave the retail store without paying for the items they had placed in their bag. When an employee tried to stop the suspects, one of the suspects started to fight the employee. The fight continued outside and a third suspect began to fight with the employee. All three suspects then entered a vehicle and fled the area. Suspect one is described as a black female, 20s, 5 feet 8 inches tall, heavy, red hair, last seen wearing a pink shirt and blue pants; suspect two is described as a black female, 20s, 5 feet 4 inches tall, heavy, black hair, last seen wearing a white shirt, black hat and blue pants; and suspect three is described as a black male, 20s, 6 feet tall, short hair, brown skin, last seen wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.

10:40 p.m., 9100 block of Edmonston Court. Unknown suspect(s) attempted to gain entry by prying at the front door.

9200 block of Edmonston Road. White paint particles on vehicle.

6000 block of Springhill Drive. Broken windshield on vehicle.

  • June 21

7:27 p.m., 6000 block of Springhill Drive. Bedroom window was broken.        

10:12 p.m., 8000 block of Greenbury Drive. Mal Xa Le, 39, of Greenbelt, was arrested and charged with driving while impaired by alcohol and leaving the scene of an accident, after the suspect had been observed striking a parked and unoccupied vehicle. The suspect was released on citations, pending trial.

11:19 p.m., 7200 Hanover Drive. Two male suspects entered the hotel and stole the credit card authorization log. One of the suspects sprayed the desk clerk with OC spray, creating an opportunity for the other suspect to grab the log containing numerous credit card files. Both suspects then fled through the front lobby doors. Suspect one was described as a black male, 23-28, 5 feet 8 inches tall to 5 feet 10 inches tall, 150-160 pounds, with very long dreads and a thin goatee, last seen wearing a white striped polo shirt and blue jeans. Suspect two was described as a black female, 23-28, 5 feet 11 inches tall to 6 feet tall, 150-160 lbs., last seen wearing a black or gray halter top, blue jeans and carrying a black purse. The vehicle was described as a dark Ford Taurus, late '90s, early 2000s model, bearing Virginia registration.

6200 block of Springhill Court. Money orders were taken from vehicle.

6200 block of Breezewood Drive. DC registration tag was taken from vehicle.

6100 block of Springhill Terrace. CD player face plate was taken from vehicle.

7800 block of Mandan Road. Sony DVD player and knife set were taken from vehicle.

6200 block of Breezewood Court. Tom Tom GPS system was taken from vehicle but recovered later the same day by the New Carrollton Police Department, who reported that they arrested Farad Bullock, 18, for the theft. No further information was provided.

  • June 22

4:58 p.m., 9000 block of Breezewood Terrace. Electronic equipment and jewelry were taken along with keys to the victim’s 2002 white GMC Yukon, which was also stolen.

9300 block of Edmonston Road. Various tools and cables were taken.

6500 block of Lake Park Drive. Jension in-dash GPS and a flip-down 15-inch television were taken from vehicle.

Tag reported stolen March 26 from the 6200 block of Springhill Drive was located by the Prince George’s County Police Department. No arrests were made.

  • June 23

1:03 a.m., Lakisha Nycole Carpenter-David, 29, of Hyattsville, was arrested and charged with driving while impaired by alcohol. The suspect was released on citations, pending trial.

2:08 a.m., 7900 block of Good Luck Road. Two male suspects entered the store; one suspect displayed a handgun. They walked behind the counter and took several packs of cigarettes and scratch-off lottery tickets and ran out of the door in an unknown direction.   

7:42 p.m., 7500 block of Greenbelt Road. Otis Reginald Caldwell, 27, of Ft. Washington, was arrested and charged with trespassing on private property. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

6100 block of Breezewood Drive. Makita tool set was taken from vehicle.

A 2009 Honda Accord reported stolen from the 100 block of Westway Road on June 6 was recovered by the Washington Metropolitan Police Department on Wheeler Hill Drive SE, Washington, D.C. No arrests were made.

6200 block of Springhill Court. Stolen tag.

  • June 24

After midnight and before 1 a.m., 6000 block of Cherrywood Court. Toshiba 40-inch flat screen TV was taken.
