Police Blotter: July 6-14

The following arrest information was supplied by the Greenbelt Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

July 6: Graffiti was found on a sign on a door on the Unit block of Ridge Road at 1:25 p.m.

July 8: Raymond Augustus Paris, 59, of Takoma Park, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop on the 8100 block of Lakecrest Drive at 12:36 a.m. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

Stephen Tyrone Edon, 18, of Washington, DC, was arrested and charged with trespassing on private property on the 9200 block of Springhill Lane at 5:27 p.m. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

A GPS was taken from a vehicle on the 6300 block of Ivy Lane.

A camera was taken from a vehicle on the 7500 block of Greenbelt Road.

July 9: A reckless endangerment incident occurred at 2:05 a.m on the 7800 block of Mandan Road. Citizens reported the sound of gun shots in the area. No arrests were made.

A resident juvenile was petitioned for disorderly conduct on the 7800 block of Hanover Parkway at 3:04 a.m. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending action by the Department of Juvenile Services.

Scott Robert Corbin, 48, of New Carrollton, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop on the intersection of Greenbelt Road and Kenilworth Avenue at 7:28 p.m. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

Zachary Leonard Marshall, 23, of Lanham, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop on the 9100 block of Edmonston Road at 8:56 p.m. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

A Maryland tag was taken from a vehicle on the 7600 block of Greenbelt Road.

July 10: James Luke Morton, 29, of Washington, DC, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop at 3:17 a.m. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

Electronics and jewelry were among the items taken from a residence on the 9000 block of Breezewood Terrace at 2:15 p.m.

A resident juvenile was petitioned for disorderly conduct on the 9300 block of Edmonston Road at 7:14 p.m. The juvenile was released to foster care authorities pending action by the Department of Juvenile Services.

There was a robbery on the 6100 block of Breezewood Drive at 10:59 p.m. The victim was approached by two suspects, who displayed handguns and demanded the victim’s property. The suspects are described as black males, 25-30 years old, 5’9”, medium build, one wearing a black and red Redskins shirt with blue jeans, and the other wearing a green camouflage shirt and pants.

July 11:  There was an attempted theft from an auto on the 200 block of Lakeside Drive.

A laptop was taken from a vehicle on the 200 block of Lakeside Drive.

July 12: Electronics were taken from a residence on the 9100 block of Springhill Lane at 1:56 p.m.

Jose Almendares, 30, of Berwyn Heights, was arrested and charged with trespassing on private property on the 5800 block of Cherrywood Terrace at 8:51 p.m. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner.

July 13: Electronics were taken from a residence on the 6100 block of Breezewood Court at 5:30 p.m.

July 14: A non-resident juvenile was petitioned for trespassing on private property on the 5800 block of Cherrywood Lane at 1:45 a.m. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending action by the Department of Juvenile Services.
