Police Blotter: July 14 - 21

The following arrest information was supplied by the Greenbelt Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

July 14: A sliding glass door was broken on the 6100 block of Springhill Drive at 2:15 p.m.

Unknown suspect(s) fired a handgun into an empty apartment located at 9300 Edmonston Road at 2:57 p.m. This incident is reported as an attempted murder. No one was injured during the incident. There is no description of the suspect(s).

A strong armed robbery occurred near the intersection of Frankfort Drive and Morrison Drive at 9:04 p.m. The victim was approached by two suspects, who took the victim’s money. The suspects are described as a black male and a black female, 15-20 years old.

Electronics were taken from a residence on the 5900 block of Cherrywood Lane at 9:28 p.m.

Miles Alonzo Davis, 45, of College Park, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct on the 6400 block of Capitol Drive at 10:55 p.m. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

A gray 1997 Honda Accord with Maryland tags was taken from the 7200 block of Hanover Parkway.

July 15: A resident juvenile was petitioned for disorderly conduct on the Unit block of Centerway at 3:10 p.m. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending action by the Department of Juvenile Services.

Jonathan Scott Viruet, 28, of Greenbelt, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia on the 100 block of Centerway at 4:44 p.m. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

July 16: Electronics were taken from a residence on the 9200 block of Springhill Lane at 7:36 p.m.

July 18: A burglary was reported at 8:14 a.m. on the Unit block of Crescent Road. Nothing was taken.

A robbery occurred on the 6000 block of Greenbelt Road at 7:47 p.m. Two suspects took the victim’s laptop. The suspects are described as tall black males.

A silver 1996 Lincoln Town Car with Maryland tags was taken on the 100 block of Westway.

Tools were taken from a vehicle on the 6200 block of Springhill Drive.

A GPS unit was taken from a vehicle on the 200 block of Lakeside Drive.

A handbag was taken from a vehicle on the 500 block of Crescent Road.

A car window was broken on the 500 block of Crescent Road.

July 19: at 12:34 a.m Drug Arrest. 5800 block of Cherrywood Terrace. Stephanie G. Hernandez, 19, of Greenbelt, was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner.

An attempted burglary occurred at a residence on the 100 block of Westway at 4:08 a.m.

Rome Delonte Alexander Hill, 20, of Silver Spring, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia at the intersection of Frankfort Drive and Greenbelt Road at 10:50 a.m. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

Victor Abu Wuya, Jr., 37, of Greenbelt, was arrested and charged with trespassing on private property and disorderly conduct on the 6000 block of Greenbelt Road at 4:14 p.m. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner.

Jewelry was taken from a residence on the 9100 block of Edmonston Terrace at 6:23 p.m.

An attempted burglary occurred on the 6100 block of Breezewood Drive. Nothing was taken.

July 20: Dominic Eugene Barksdale, Sr., 34, of Woodbridge, Virginia, Raymond Eugene Poston, 23, of Lanham, and Kendra Wynette Pippen, 31, of Washington, District of Columbia, were all arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop on the 6100 block of Springhill Lane at 1:40 a.m. The suspects were released on citation pending trial.

A red 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 with North Carolina tags was taken on the 6200 block of Breezewood Court.

A white 1996 Plymouth van with District of Columbia tags, reported stolen through Metropolitan Police of the District of Columbia, was recovered. No arrests were made.

July 21: Rocks were thrown at a vehicle causing a dent on the 7700 block of Hanover Parkway.
