Police Blotter: Dec. 8 - 15

CENTER CITY

Dec. 8 at 6:31 p.m.: Strong Armed Robbery. 8100 block Lakecrest Drive. The victim was approached by two suspects, who assaulted him and took his property. The suspects are described as males, with one wearing a tan coat with a hood.

Dec. 12 at 10:30 p.m.: Vandalism. 99 Centerway. Graffiti was found in the skate park.

Dec. 14 at 12:42 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. 11 court Ridge Road. James William Dugan, 21, of Greenbelt, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic accident. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

FRANKLIN PARK/BELTWAY PLAZA/GREENBELT METRO/CAPITOL OFFICE PARK

Dec. 8 at 5:08 p.m.: Burglary. 5900 block Cherrywood Terrace. Items were removed from a vacant unit.

At 11:18 p.m.: Drug Arrest. 6100 block Breezewood Court. Reginald Munda Terry, 24, of Beltsville, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and trespassing on private property. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

Dec. 9 at 4:33 p.m.: Burglary. 9300 block Edmonston Road. Electronics were taken.

At 6:18 p.m.: Strong Armed Robbery Attempt. 6100 block Breezewood Drive. Two suspects approached the victim and tried to take the victim’s property. The suspects are described as black males, 19-25 years old, 5’8”-6’3”, medium build, black hair, wearing dark clothing.

At 8:29 p.m.: Burglary. 6100 block Breezewood Court. Electronics were taken.

At 11:20 p.m.: Drug Arrest. 5900 block Cherrywood Lane. Sidney Dominique Cross, 21, of Lanham, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of marijuana. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner.

Dec. 10 at 12:04 p.m.:  Burglary. 5900 block Cherrywood Lane. Electronics were taken.

Dec. 11 at 8:19 p.m.: Burglary. 6100 block Breezewood Drive. Electronics were taken.

Dec. 13 at 6:12 p.m.: Burglary. 5900 block Cherrywood Terrace. Electronics and jewelry were taken.

Dec. 14 at 10:06 p.m.: Burglary. 6100 block Springhill Terrace. Unknown suspects broke into a vacant unit.

Dec. 15 at 8:58 p.m.: Robbery. 9100 block Springhill Lane. The victim was approached by four suspects, who displayed a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The suspects are described as black males, 17-25 years old, 5’7”-6’0”, 150-185 pounds, wearing black hooded jackets or sweatshirts and black pants.

GREENBELT EAST/GREENWAY SHOPPING CENTER

Dec. 9 at 7:47 p.m.: Burglary Attempt. 6600 block Lake Park Drive.

Dec. 11 at 4:39 a.m.: Drug Arrest. Greenbelt Road at Mandan Road. Chigozrim Eze Aja Onu, 26, of Lanham, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

Dec. 14 at 1:42 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Greenbelt Road at Rt. 295. William Thomas Bell, IV, 32, of Odenton, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

At 6:16 p.m.: Burglary. 7700 block Hanover Parkway. Electronics were taken.

Automotive Crime - City Wide

Dec. 9: Vandalism. 6300 block Golden Triangle Drive. A window was broken.

Theft from Auto. 6300 block Golden Triangle Drive. Bags of items were taken from three vehicles.

Theft from Auto. 6200 block Greenbelt Road. A rear Maryland tag was taken.

Dec. 10: Recovered Stolen Vehicle. 9100 block Edmonston Court. A black 2004 Ford Explorer with Maryland tags was recovered by Montgomery County Police. No arrests were made.

Theft of Auto Attempt. 6200 block Springhill Court.

Dec. 12: Theft from Auto. 6500 block Capitol Drive. A set of wheels were taken.

Vandalism. 13 court Ridge Road. A vehicle was scratched.

Theft from Auto Attempt. 6200 block Springhill Drive.

Theft from Auto. 100 block Westway. Gas was taken from the gas tank.

Dec. 13: Theft from Auto. 23 court Ridge Road. A set of Virginia tags were taken.

Dec. 14: Recovered Stolen Tag. 9000 block Breezewood Terrace. A rear Maryland tag was recovered by the Cheverly Police Department. No arrests were made.

Theft from Auto. 7500 block Greenway Center Drive. A rear Maryland tag was taken.

Dec. 15: Theft from Auto. 6900 block Hanover Parkway. A set of Maryland tags was taken.
