Police Blotter: Dec. 30 - Jan. 5

The following arrest information was supplied by the Greenbelt Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Center City 

Dec. 29 at 8:03 p.m.: Robbery. Unit block Parkway Road. The suspect approached the victims, displayed a handgun and demanded their property. The suspect is described as a black male, 5’11”, 160 pounds, black hair, wearing a long, puffy, dark green coat, with a black mask and a beard.

Dec. 29 at 10:33 p.m.: Burglary. 200 block Lakeside Drive. Alcohol was taken.

Jan. 1 at 1:58 a.m.: Drug Arrest. Greenbelt Road at Walker Drive. Jonathan Matthew Tucker, 24, of 4220 Kinmount Road, Lanham, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

Jan. 5 at 12:10 p.m.: Drug Arrest. Kenilworth Avenue at Old Calvert Road. David Martinez, 21, of 4600 Naples Avenue, Beltsville, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, after a traffic stop. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner. Also, a non-resident juvenile was petitioned for the same charges and released to a guardian pending action by the Department of Juvenile Services.

Franklin Park, Beltway Plaza, Greenbelt Metro, Capitol Office Park

Dec. 30 at 10:30 a.m.: Drug Arrest. 5800 block Cherrywood Terrace. Terrell Maurice Burton, 23, of 7711 Penbrook Place, Landover, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

Dec. 31 at 3:52 p.m.: Vandalism. 6000 block Springhill Drive. A window was broken.

Dec. 31 at 7:05 p.m.: Drug Arrest. Cherrywood Lane at Breezewood Drive. Roland Bernard Young, 51, of 7126 Mathew Street, was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine, among other charges, after a traffic stop. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner.

Jan. 3 at 8:09 P.M., Burglary. 9100 block Edmonston Court. Electronics were taken.

Jan. 4 at 2:36 p.m.: Attempted Burglary. 6100 block Breezewood Court.

Jan. 4 at 6:45 p.m.: Burglary. 9100 block Springhill Lane. Electronics were taken.

Jan. 4 at 6:51 p.m.: Burglary. 6000 block Springhill Drive. Electronics and currency were taken.

Jan. 4 at 10:51 p.m.: Burglary. 6200 block Springhill Court. Electronics were taken.

Greenbelt East/Greenway Shopping Center

Dec. 31 at 5:33 P.M. Robbery. 7500 block Greenbelt Road. The victim was approached by two suspects, who displayed a handgun, assaulted the victim and took her property. The suspects are described as an Hispanic male, 22-27 years old, 5’7”-5’10”, 170-190 pounds, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black boots; and a unknown race female, wearing women’s shoes.

Jan 3. at 5:20 p.m.: Vandalism. 7500 block Mandan Road. A window was broken.

Automotive Crime — City Wide

Dec. 29: Theft from Auto. 9000 block Breezewood Terrace. A tag expiration sticker was taken.

Dec. 30: Theft from Auto. 6000 block Springhill Drive. Tools were taken.

Dec. 30: Stolen Vehicle. 9000 block Breezewood Terrace. A green 2001 Chevrolet Impala with VA tags was taken.

Dec. 31: Vandalism. 8200 block Canning Terrace. Two vehicles were damaged by a BB gun.

Jan. 1: Vandalism. 8200 block Canning Terrace. Several vehicles were spray painted by two black males, 5’11”, 175 pounds, wearing dark colored clothing and hats.

Jan. 1: Vandalism. 6000 block Springhill Drive. A windshield wiper was broken.

Jan. 2: Vandalism. 7800 block Mandan Road. A window was broken.

Jan. 3: Vandalism. 6300 block Ivy Lane. Tires were flattened.

Jan. 4: Theft from Auto. 7500 block Greenway Center Drive. A purse was taken.
