Police Blotter: Aug. 30 - Sept. 8

The following arrest information was supplied by the Greenbelt Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Aug. 30: A burglary occurred on the Unit block of Ridge Road at 4:20 p.m. Jewelry was taken.

Sept. 2: Jason Robert Lawson, 26, of Landover, was arrested and charged with trespassing on private property on the 5800 block of Cherrywood Lane at 1:02 p.m. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

Marco Frank Williams, 18, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct on the 100 block of Centerway at 9:36 p.m. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

Jaylynd De Carlos Parker, 18, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct near the intersection of Southway and Ridge Road at 10:03 p.m. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

A vehicle was scratched and a taillight was broken on the 7700 block of Hanover Parkway.

Sept. 3: Jerel Emil Haynes, 33, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop near the intersection of Greenbelt Road and Kenilworth Avenue at 12:48 a.m. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

A wallet and laptop were taken from a residence on the 100 block of Westway at 8:55 a.m.

Shelita Michelle Leftwich, 37, of Hyattsville, was arrested and charged with leaving a child unattended in a vehicle on the 7400 block of Greenbelt Road at 12:37 p.m. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

Sept. 4: A burglary was reported on the Unit block of Crescent Road at 12:05 a.m. A vacant apartment was broken into by unknown suspect(s). Nothing was taken.

A burglary occurred on the 8000 block of Mandan Road at 8:49 a.m. Nothing was taken.

Lorenzo Bernard Jackson, 30, of Riverdale, was arrested and charged with possession of open alcohol in public on the Unit block of Crescent Road at 8:32 p.m. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

Brian Edward Argy, 53, of Landover Hills, was arrested and charged with Trespassing on Private Property after being found sleeping in a vacant apartment on the Unit block of Crescent Road at 9:46 p.m. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

A blue 1997 Jeep Cherokee with Maryland tags, reported stolen through Prince George's County Police, was recovered near the intersection of Kenilworth Avenue and Pontiac Street. No arrests were made.

Two tires were punctured on the 100 block of Centerway.

Sept. 5: Kelin Keva Barillas, 22,was arrested and charged with possession of open alcohol in public on the Unit block of Crescent Road at 4:05 p.m. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

A robbery occurred on the 6100 block of Breezewood Drive at 9:02 p.m. Two suspects approached the victim, displayed a handgun and demanded the victim’s wallet. The suspects are described as black males, 14-17 years old, 5’9”, thin build, wearing black shirts, dark pants and black ski masks.

Windows were broken on the 9100 block of Springhill Lane.

Sept. 6: An attempted robbery occurred on the 7900 block of Good Luck Road at 3:41 a.m. Two suspects attempted to rob a store, but fled without any money or property. The suspects are described as black males, 5’10”, medium build, one wearing dark clothing, and the other wearing a gray sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Karen Lenora Johnson, 50, of Lanham, was arrested and charged with driving while impaired by drugs and alcohol and possession of drug paraphernalia, among other charges after a traffic stop on the intersection of Greenbelt Road and Kenilworth Avenue at 9:38 p.m. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

A white 2006 Toyota truck with Maryland tags was taken on the 6900 block of Hanover Parkway.

A DVD/CD stereo system was taken on the 7700 block of Hanover Parkway.

Sept. 7: Appliances were taken on the 6200 block of Breezewood Drive at 10:19 a.m.

Electronics and jewelry were taken from a residence on the 5900 block of Cherrywood Terrace at 11:53 a.m.

A door lock was damaged on the 200 block of Lakeside Drive at 7:49 p.m.

A door lock was damaged on the 7500 block of Mandan Road.

A set of wheels were taken from a vehicle on the 6700 block of Lake Park Drive.

A window was broken on the 9200 block of Edmonston Road.

Paperwork was taken from a vehicle on the 7900 block of Brooks Place.

A set of wheels were taken on the 7400 block of Morrison Drive.

Sept. 8: A stereo was taken from a vehicle on the 9100 block of Edmonston Road.
