Police Blotter: Aug. 27 to Sept. 2

The Greenbelt Police released an activity report of crime in the last week.

Sept. 2: James Louis Bryant, 2nd, 27, of Capitol Heights was arrested and charged with trespassing on private property at the 5800 block of Cherrywood Lane at 6:41 p.m. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

A car was vandalized on the 5800 block of Cherrywood Terrace. The window was broken.

A black 2004 GMC Yukon with Maryland tags was stolen from the 8000 block of Mandan Road.

Sept. 1: A house was vandalized at the 6200 block of Springhill Court after a rock was thrown through a window at 7:08 p.m.

A burglary was reported at the 9300 block of Edmonston Road. At about 6:30 p.m., two televisions and a purse were taken.

A burglary was reported at the 9300 block of Edmonston Road. At about 1:41 p.m., a game console, laptop, cell phone, iPod and watch were reported stolen.

Jaclyn Jolea Matikas, 24, of Lanham, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired of alcohol, among other charges at a traffic stop at Kenilworth Avenue and Crescent Road at 3:55 a.m.

Aug. 31: Theft from a vehicle was reported on the 400 block of Ridge Road where a GPS was taken.

Theft from a vehicle was reported at the 6200 block of Breezewood Court where a CD/DVD player and amplifier were taken.

Aug. 30: A red 1999 Plymouth Voyager with Maryland tags was stolen from the 7500 block of Mandan Terrace.

A gold 2000 Chysler Cirrus with Maryland tags was stolen from the 8100 block of Mandan Terrace.

There was an attempted theft from a vehicle at the 7500 block of Mandan Road.

A Maryland tag was stolen from a vehicle on the 6100 block of Mandan Road.

There was an attempted theft from a vehicle at Mandan Road and Hanover Parkway.

Aug. 29: A car was vandalized at the 5900 block of Cherrywood Terrace; it was scratched.

An attempted burglary was reported at the 9300 block of Edmonston Road.

Santos Ramos, 36, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired of alcohol, among other charges at a traffic stop at 5900 block of Cherrywood Terrace. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

Thomasine Patricia Phillips, 59, of Adelphi, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired of alcohol, among other charges at a traffic stop at Greenbelt Road and Cherrywood Terrace. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

Aug. 28: Vandalism was reported at the 9100 block of Springhill Lane after a rock was thrown through a window.

A burglary was reported at the 9000 block of Breezewood Terrace where a vacuum cleaner was taken.

A strong armed robbery was reported at the corner of Springhill Lane and Breezewood Court around midnight. Five suspects approached the victim and took his property. The victim described the suspects as black males, 15 to 20 years old, between 5-feet tall and 5-foot-10, with one wearing a black shirt and another a white shirt.

A drug arrest was reported at Hanover Parkway and Village Park Drive at about 9 p.m. Bryan Jerome Hall, 33, of New Carrollton, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

An attempted theft from a vehicle was reported at the 6000 block of Springhill Drive.

A theft from a vehicle was reported at the 6200 block of Springhill Court; a GPS was taken.

A theft from a vehicle was reported at the 6100 block of Breezewood Court; a camera and shoes were taken.

A car was vandalized on the 6200 block of Springhill Court. The window was broken.

A car was vandalized on the 6000 block of Cherrywood Court. The window was broken.

A car was vandalized on the 6200 block of Springhill Court. The window was damaged.

A car was vandalized on the 6200 block of Breezewood Court. The car window was damaged.

A car was vandalized at the 9100 block of Edmonston Road. The window was broken.

Aug. 27: Police arrested Tariq Lynrow, 19, of Lanham and Donta Robert Pumphrey, 18, of Capitol Heights at 10:08 p.m. for disorderly conduct at the 6900 block of Greenbelt Road. Both suspects were released on citation pending trial.

A burglary was reported at the 6000 block of Breezewood Drive at about 9 p.m. A laptop, television, game console and computer monitor were reported taken.
