Police Blotter: Dec. 22 - 29

The following arrest information was supplied by the Greenbelt Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

CENTER CITY

Dec. 22 at 12:51 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Greenbelt Road at Capitol Drive. Christopher Dunbar Henri, 24, of Greenbelt, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

Dec. 28 at 3:44 p.m.: Vandalism. 56 court Ridge Road. Graffiti was found on a bench.

FRANKLIN PARK/BELTWAY PLAZA/GREENBELT METRO/CAPITOL OFFICE PARK

Dec. 23 at 8:56 p.m.: Attempt Strong Armed Robbery. 6200 block Springhill Drive. The suspect assaulted the victim and attempted to take the victim’s property. The suspect is described as a black male, 6’2”-6’3”, wearing a dark colored coat and hat.

Dec. 25 at 6:49 a.m.: Burglary. 9100 block Edmonston Terrace. Jian Carlo Naverrete Bran, 28, of Silver Spring, was arrested and charged with burglary, trespassing on private property and possession of marijuana, after breaking into a home to sleep on a couch. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner.

Dec. 26 at 2:44 p.m.: Burglary. 6000 block Cherrywood Court. Electronics were taken.

Dec. 27 at 11:08 a.m.: Vandalism. 6200 block Breezewood Court. A window was broken.

At 11:49 a.m.: Burglary. 9100 block Springhill Lane. Electronics were taken.

At 7:35 p.m.: Burglary. 5800 block Cherrywood Terrace. Electronics and jewelry were taken.

GREENBELT EAST/GREENWAY SHOPPING CENTER

Dec. 24 at 2:02 p.m.: Drug Arrest. 7700 block Hanover Parkway. Two resident juveniles were petitioned for possession of marijuana. The juveniles were released to their respective guardians pending action by the Department of Juvenile Services.

Dec. 26 at 7:03 p.m.:  Vandalism. 8100 block Craddock Road. A rock was thrown through a window.

Dec. 27 at 5:17 p.m.:  Theft from Auto. 7800 block Mandan Road. An expiration sticker was taken from a tag.

Automotive Crime - City Wide

Dec. 24: Vandalism. 9200 block Springhill Lane. Tires were flattened.

Dec. 27: Theft from Auto. 7200 block Hanover Parkway. A GPS unit was taken.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle. 6700 block Kenilworth Avenue. A green 2002 Toyota Camry with District of Columbia tags, reported stolen through Metropolitan Police of the District of Columbia, was recovered. No arrests were made.

Dec. 29: Attempt Theft from Auto. 9100 block Edmonston Road.
