Motorcyclist Transported to Hospital after Accident on Greenbelt Road

A motorcycle was struck by a red Honda truck at the intersection of Greenbelt Road and 53rd Avenue this afternoon, according to Prince George's County police.

A 27-year old man was injured Monday when the motorcycle he was driving was hit by a Toyota pickup truck.

According to Prince George's County Police Cpl. Larry Johnson, the motorcycle was heading west on Greenbelt Road (MD 193) and approached the intersection of 53rd Avenue on a green light at around 12:54 p.m. today. It was struck by a Toyota pickup making a left turn from eastbound Greenbelt road onto 53rd Avenue. 

The 27-year-old motorcycle driver was transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition at press time, according to Johnson. Police said the 65-year-old driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
