Greenbelt Resident Arrested in Local Bank Robbery

A 37-year-old woman was charged in the bank robbery in Greenbelt west.

Greenbelt police have arrested a suspect in the reported robbery of Bank of America on July 24 in Greenbelt.

According to police, officers responded to the the 6000 block of Greenbelt Road on Wednesday around 9:13 a.m. for a report of a robbery.

Officers quickly located a suspect—Greenbelt resident Ebony Lasha Edmonds, 37—police said.

Greenbelt police report that Edmonds could be linked to two other Greenbelt west bank robberies at the BB&T Bank and PNC.

Edmonds was charged with three counts of Armed Robbery and is currently being held in the custody of the Department of Corrections.
