Greenbelt Crime: 4 DUIs, Juvenile Drug Arrest

The following arrest information was supplied by the Greenbelt Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Center City

March 31 at 6:03 a.m.: Burglary. 100 block Westway. Joseph Penny, 42, of Suitland, was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary, possession of burglary tools and trespassing, among other charges. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner.

April 1 at 3:04 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Greenbelt Road at Walker Drive. Charles D. Ndeumeni, 53, of Silver Spring, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

April 4 at 11:10 p.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Kenilworth Avenue at Greenbelt Road. Felipe De Jesus Boch Coc, 45, of Riverdale, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

Franklin Park, Beltway Plaza, Greenbelt Metro, Capitol Office Park

March 29 at 11:28 a.m.: Drug Arrest. 8900 block Edmonston Road. A non-resident juvenile was petitioned for possession with intent to distribute marijuana in a school zone and possession of marijuana, among other charges. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending action by the Department of Juvenile Services.

At 9:36 p.m.: Drug Arrest. 5800 block Cherrywood Lane. Charles Edward Harris, III, 23, of Riverdale, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

March 30 at 9:47 p.m.: Burglary. 5800 block Cherrywood Terrace. Electronics and a revolver were taken.

April 1 at 4:11 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. 6200 block Breezewood Drive. Michael St. Patrick Hughes, 26, of Greenbelt, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while impaired by alcohol and possession of drug paraphernalia, among other charges after a traffic stop. A passenger in the vehicle, Rondell Allen Simon, 30, of Laurel, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Both suspects were released on citations pending trial.

April 2 at 3:02 a.m.: Burglary. 9100 block Springhill Lane. Nothing was taken.

Greenbelt East, Greenway Shopping Center

March 31 at 2:24 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Greenbelt Road at Route 295. Samuel A. Manuwa, 33, of Hyattsville, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

April 1 at 6:47 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Mandan Road at Hanover Parkway. Nosta E. Tanyidah, 34, of Greenbelt, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

March 31: Theft from Auto. 8100 block Burkart Court. A stereo was taken.

April 1: Theft from Auto. 6400 block Capitol Drive. A rear Maryland tag was taken.

Vandalism. 7800 block Greenbrook Drive. A vehicle was scratched.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle. 9100 block Springhill Lane. A red 2002 Toyota Camry with Maryland tags was taken. The vehicle was later recovered by the Prince George’s County Police. No arrests were made.

April 2: Theft from Auto. 100 block Crescent Road. A rear Maryland tag was taken.

Theft from Auto. 7500 block Mandan Road. A navigation system and a set of wheels were taken.

Vandalism. 9000 block Breezewood Terrace. A vehicle’s quarter panels were damaged.
